Softball Recap: Spencer Takes a Loss

Spencer suffered their closest loss since June 18, 2025 on Monday. They fell just short of the Storm Lake Tornadoes by a score of 7-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Tornadoes: they've now lost five in a row.

Spencer's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 13-5. As for Storm Lake, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spencer will face off against Mason City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Storm Lake, they will challenge Humboldt at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
