Football Game Preview: New Brunswick Zebra vs. Rahway Indians + How To Watch

The New Brunswick Zebra will challenge the Rahway Indians at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. New Brunswick hasn't scored more than eight points for seven games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Friday, New Brunswick had to suffer through a 41-8 loss at the hands of South Plainfield.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rahway). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-20 victory over Watchung Hills Regional. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-6.

New Brunswick better keep an eye on Andrew Avent. He was instrumental in Rahway's win, rushing for 201 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Avent's longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards. Jyvon Cooper was another key player, rushing for 73 yards and one score.

Rahway was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 334 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 334 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Rahway's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. Leading the way was Augustin Citsay with two sacks.

Rahway now has a winning record of 4-3. As for New Brunswick, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

New Brunswick took a serious blow against Rahway in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 42-0. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Avent, who rushed for 59 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries. Now that the Zebra know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
