Softball Recap: Sherman Victorious

Sherman's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 14-9 win over the Greenbrier West Cavaliers. This was a revenge game for the Tide: when they faced off against the Cavaliers on April 2nd, they had to take a 6-3 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Lexie Lowe, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Plantz, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Sherman's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Greenbrier West, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 12-8.

The future could be bright for both Sherman and Greenbrier West: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Tide will look to extend Van's seven-game losing streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Greenbrier West will try to hand Richwood their 11th-straight defeat when the two meet at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
