Basketball Game Preview: Berrien Rebels vs. Jeff Davis Yellowjackets

The Berrien Rebels just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Jeff Davis Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Berrien has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 6.

On Friday, Berrien ended up a good deal behind Thomasville and lost 50-35. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 180th).

Meanwhile, Jeff Davis played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Brantley County and fell 47-11. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

Berrien's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Jeff Davis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Things could have been worse for Berrien, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-39 loss to Jeff Davis in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Berrien avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
