Baseball Recap: Laurel Hill Takes a Loss

Laurel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Florala Wildcats, falling 15-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 back in February.

Laurel Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Gemina, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Laurel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Florala, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Laurel Hill will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rocky Bayou Christian at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Florala, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Florala Wildcats challenge McKenzie Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. McKenzie has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.38 runs per game on average), something Florala will no doubt try to take advantage of.
