Basketball Recap: Calvary Chapel Find Success

Calvary Chapel's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past the Costa Mesa Mustangs with a 71-66 victory. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Mustangs on January 8th, they had to take a 64-50 loss.

It was another big night for Jorden Embry, who posted 30 points. Micah Francisco was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Calvary Chapel is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Costa Mesa, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-15.

Calvary Chapel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-53 win against Godinez Fundamental on the 29th. Costa Mesa has also already played their next contest (against Fullerton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
