Basketball Recap: Edgar Beltran and Aham Nwosu Secure Win for California

With a playoff win on the line, California rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 66-64 victory over the Chino Cowboys. The win was familiar territory for the Condors, who have now won three matches in a row.

Leading California to victory were Aham Nwosu and Edgar Beltran. Nwosu dropped a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds, while Beltran posted 13 points in addition to six assists and five steals. Those 27 points gave Nwosu a new career-high. Jeremy Dayton was another key player, putting up six points.

California now has a winning record of 16-15. As for Chino, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-13.

California wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 81-61 victory against Alhambra on the 21st. Chino does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
