Baseball Recap: Archbishop McNicholas Comes Up Short

Archbishop McNicholas managed to slip by Badin the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rockets lost 9-2 to the Rams on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rockets have suffered since May 4, 2024.

Archbishop McNicholas saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Gundler, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Archbishop McNicholas has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Badin, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

While Archbishop McNicholas had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
