Soccer Game Preview: Bellows Free Academy vs. Middlebury

The Bellows Free Academy Bobwhites/Comets will challenge the Middlebury Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Bellows Free Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Rice Memorial, who was ranked third at the time (Bellows Free Academy was ranked 17th). The Bobwhites/Comets fell 5-3 to the Green Knights on Friday. The contest was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but Bellows Free Academy couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Middlebury sidestepped Winooski for a 4-3 win. That's two games straight that Middlebury have won by just one goal.

Bellows Free Academy dropped their record down to 5-5-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Middlebury, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Bellows Free Academy took their victory against Middlebury in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 5-1 score. Do the Bobwhites/Comets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
