Basketball Recap: Temple's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Temple had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Hyde Park Panthers with a sharp 50-24 win on Saturday. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 349th, while the Panthers are ranked 719th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Temple now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Hyde Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Temple will head out to take on Copperas Cove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hyde Park, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lehman at 10:50 a.m. on December 27th.
