Baseball Recap: Turner Takes a Loss

Turner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the Wakeland Wolverines, falling 16-0. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolverines from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Turner's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Wakeland, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Turner will head out on the road to take on Sam Houston at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wakeland, they will host Hebron at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight.
