Recap: Navarre Raiders vs. Crestview Bulldogs
The Navarre Raiders pushed their score all the way to 61 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 75-61 bruising from Crestview. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Navarre in their matchups with Crestview: they've now lost six in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Navarre lost, one person who can't be blamed is Darius Cunningham. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Jonah Forrest was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Navarre has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Crestview, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.
Navarre will be playing in front of their home fans against Milton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Milton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Navarre in Florida (Milton is ranked 123rd, while Navarre is ranked 385th). As for Crestview, they will head out on the road to challenge Choctawhatchee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Choctawhatchee is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
