Basketball Game Preview: Burbank Bulldogs vs. Marshall Barristers

The Burbank Bulldogs will face off against the Marshall Barristers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Burbank was beaten by Crescenta Valley 86-58. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marshall). They blew past Bravo 95-62 on Friday. The Barristers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Marshall is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.6 points per game. As for Burbank, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.

Burbank was able to grind out a solid win over Marshall in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, winning 77-68. Will Burbank repeat their success, or does Marshall have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
