Penfield came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Irondequoit Eagles 30-5. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Megan Clark was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Ella Malley also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Penfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .689. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Penfield's record now sits at 10-5. As for Irondequoit, their loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Penfield has already played their next contest, an 8-0 win against Greece Odyssey on the 12th. As for Irondequoit, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-0 defeat against Our Lady of Mercy on the 12th.
