Football Recap: Damonte Ranch Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Damonte Ranch was riding high fresh off their 38-0 takedown of Wooster last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs were beaten by the McQueen Lancers 44-6 on Friday. The Mustangs lost against the Lancers in their previous head to head back in October of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 19-6 score last time.

Christian Diehl threw for 130 yards and one touchdown. Amari Nash was his top target, picking up 58 receiving yards.

Nason Rodriguez had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 208 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 10.4 yards per carry for McQueen. Rodriguez was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards. Another player making a difference was Ryder Tucker, who threw for 120 yards and two TDs on only nine passes.

Damonte Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for McQueen, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Damonte Ranch and McQueen will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Mustangs see the field they'll take on Douglas at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for McQueen, their break will end when they face Reno at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
