Rams roll to 8-0

The Rams 8th game was another blowout game against the Burkmar Patriots.  Despite falling back three ranks, they are still a part of the top 10 high school football teams in the country, now at number 6.

“We bleed Green and Gold!”, the run-through banner read as the mighty Rams tore through it and stormed the field.

The game started off with a touchdown early in the first quarter by #7, Frank Bebbs and a good kick added by #99, Austin Clark making the score 7-0.

Always exciting performance by #24, Ean Pemberton making a 1st down for the Rams though it was #14, Devin Gillespie who scored the second touchdown making the score 15-0 at 4:23 left in the first quarter. Another good kick by the unfailing kicker, Clark upped the score to 16-0

QB #32, Patrick Santry passed the ball off to #82, Wilson Hudgins for the Rams third TD of the night, putting the score at 22-0. Clark kicks, puts score at 23-0 with 1:25 left in the first quarter.
Pemberton runs 74 yards to make his first TD of the game at 6:36 left in the first half. That TD, plus Clark’s kick makes the score 30-0.

#41, Ryan Braswell, makes touchdown at 2:23 in the third quarter. One last good kick by Clark and the score is final for the rest of the game, 37-0.

Outstanding performances by #9 , Terrius Watson who had several carries throughout the game and  #36, Terry Williams made the only interception of the night for the Rams during the second quarter of the game.

If the Rams have any hope for making it to the top, they need to be more aware and careful of the fouls that are consistently called on them.  They may not be able to get away with so many during the playoffs.

Two more games remain for the Grayson Rams before the playoffs. They are still undefeated going into their 9th game of the season.
