Volleyball Recap: Carlyle Falls to Althoff Catholic in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Carlyle kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 2-0 to the Althoff Catholic Crusaders. The Indians/Lady Indians haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-13.

Althoff Catholic was led to victory by Katelyn Karban and Ella Riley. Karban had nine digs and one assist, while Riley had eight digs and two aces. That's the most digs Riley has posted since back in October of 2024.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlyle will face off against New Athens at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Althoff Catholic, they will square off against Breese Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
