Basketball Recap: Horseshoe Bend Takes a Loss

Horseshoe Bend was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 71-54 bruising from the Central of Coosa County Cougars. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-54 last Tuesday.

Horseshoe Bend's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Central of Coosa County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horseshoe Bend will head out to face off against Beulah at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Central of Coosa County, they will venture away from home to take on Reeltown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
