Football Game Preview: Monticello Mustangs vs. Fluvanna County Flying Flucos

The Monticello Mustangs will face off against the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Monticello lost to Orange County at home by a 31-14 margin. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fluvanna County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Western Albemarle 35-14 on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Fluvanna County's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Monticello, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.

Monticello strolled past Fluvanna County when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a score of 35-21. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Flying Flucos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
