Volleyball Recap: Martin Luther Spartans vs. Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks

Martin Luther was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hustlin' Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 22-25, 25-16, 25-9.

Roger Lara was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had ten digs and three aces. Those ten digs gave him a new career-high.

Martin Luther's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Greenfield, they moved to 2-2 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.
