Softball Recap: Hayden Takes a Loss

Mogollon hit Hayden with a eight-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lobos lost 12-2 to the Mustangs. The defeat continues a trend for the Lobos in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost six in a row.

Hayden saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mianah Bravo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Yvana Waddell, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Hayden's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Mogollon, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mogollon beat Hayden by a score of 14-13 later that day.
