Soccer Recap: Canyon Takes a Loss

If Canyon was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Perryton last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Canyon Eagles came up short against the Randall Raiders on Tuesday, falling 9-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Randall, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Canyon will be playing in front of their home fans against Dumas at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Canyon is facing Dumas at the right time seeing as Dumas is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Randall, they will head out to take on West Plains at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (West Plains has won six straight at home, while Randall won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
