Volleyball Recap: The Colorado Springs School Comes Up Short

The Colorado Springs School lost against St. Mary back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Kodiaks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. The Kodiaks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The Colorado Springs School was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22.

Mia Vargas paced The Colorado Springs School's offense, picking up two kills. Vargas got some help from Jordan Seto and her five assists. Seto was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The Colorado Springs School's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for St. Mary's, their win ended a five-match drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11.

The Colorado Springs School has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Prospect Ridge Academy on the 25th. As for St. Mary's, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Thomas MacLaren School on the 25th.
