Softball Recap: Sylvan-Lucas Takes a Loss

Sylvan-Lucas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-1 to the Minneapolis Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-3 on Monday.

Sylvan-Lucas saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Montana Griffiths, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Sylvan-Lucas' loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Minneapolis, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Sylvan-Lucas and Minneapolis will both be playing Ellinwood the next time they take the field. The Lions will head out to face the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Mustangs will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
