Preview: San Jacinto Christian Academy vs. Lakehill Prep

The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Saturday San Jacinto Christian Academy (5-5) takes on Lakehill Prep (8-3) in the first playoff game of the year. San Jacinto Christian Academy has flexed its offensive muscles in its last four matchups, so Lakehill Prep has a real workout ahead of it.

San Jacinto Christian Academy went up against Calvary Academy last week. San Jacinto Christian Academy got off to a good start with a 37-point offensive effort in the first half. That gave them a 37 - 14 advantage at the half. The offense kept at it in the second half and scored another 34. In the end, San Jacinto Christian Academy steamrollered its way to an easy 71 - 26 victory.

Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Lakehill Prep lost to Dallas Lutheran last week, and it lost bad. The score wound up at 64 - 16. Dallas Lutheran was expected to win (it is ranked 56th in the MaxPreps nationional rankings, many places ahead of Lakehill Prep), but it was still a bitter blow.

Lakehill Prep has allowed an average of 35 points each game, and San Jacinto Christian Academy has allowed an average of 49. Hence, a good defensive effort could be the difference in this matchup.
