Baseball Recap: Newark Comes Up Short

Newark lost against Dwight back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Norsemen lost 8-2 to the Trojans. The Norsemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Payton Wills made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Newark's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Dwight, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newark will welcome Serena at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dwight, they will square off against Seneca at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Fighting Irish will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
