Basketball Recap: Wilder Falls to Greenleaf Friends Academy in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Wilder unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies 51-16 on Tuesday. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-5.

Jesse Morales was Wilder's leading scorer, having posted five points.

Greenleaf Friends Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Miller, who shot 57% from the field en route to 19 points and six steals. Zane Fillmore was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Coincidentally, Wilder and Greenleaf Friends Academy will both be playing Treasure Valley Classical Academy the next time they take the court. The Grizzlies will head out to face Treasure Valley Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
