Basketball Recap: Bolles Takes a Loss

Bolles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Windsor Forest Knights. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 231st in Florida, while the Knights are ranked 66th in Georgia).

When it comes to explaining why Bolles lost, don't look at Finley Bredehoeft. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points. That's the most points Bredehoeft has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Kaden Ferguson, who posted eight points in addition to eight assists and eight boards.

Windsor Forest's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Troy Smith, who made all 6 shots he took to post 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Cabellero, who made all 5 shots he took to post 13 points.

Bolles' defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Windsor Forest, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Bolles wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-38 victory against Jenkins on the 21st. As for Windsor Forest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-67 win against Bradwell Institute on the 21st.
