Football Recap: Wewoka's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

If Wewoka was riding high fresh off their 22-2 takedown of Liberty last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell 21-16 to the Allen Mustangs on Friday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Quinton Box was a one-man wrecking crew For Allen. as he rushed for 153 yards and a pair of scores. They also got a significant boost from Kayd Bell, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.

Wewoka moved to 4-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Allen, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wewoka will square off against rival Gore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Allen is set to face off against their familiar foe Regent Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
