Recap: Heritage Christian Patriots vs. Delavan-Darien Comets
On Saturday, Heritage Christian was the victim of a rough 70-48 loss at the hands of Delavan-Darien. Heritage Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-20.
Morgan Bluhm and Lyndsay Laakso certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Bluhm scored 15 points along with seven steals, while Laakso scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Laakso scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Amanda Pike, who scored nine points along with five assists.
This is the second loss in a row for Heritage Christian and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Delavan-Darien, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian will take on St. Francis at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wisconsin (St. Francis is ranked 271st, while Heritage Christian is ranked 289th). As for Delavan-Darien, they will head out on the road to face off against Shoreland Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Shoreland Lutheran will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
