While Tristen Gonzalez delivered a dominant effort on Tuesday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Excelsior Charter. Gonzalez was unstoppable, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Even though Gonzalez couldn't lead Excelsior Charter over University Prep, she won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles haven't beaten the Jaguars recently, having gone 0-10 since May of 2021.
