Basketball Recap: Saranac Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Saranac can now relate to. They fell 56-49 to the Saranac Lake Red Storm on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Storm this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-60 back in December of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Saranac and nudges their season record down to 9-12. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. As for Saranac Lake, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.

As of now, neither Saranac nor Saranac Lake have any future games scheduled.
