Volleyball Recap: Northridge Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Northridge and Timnath faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Tuesday. The Grizzlies came up short against the Cubs, falling 3-0. The Grizzlies have struggled against the Cubs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-13, 25-4.

Sophia Carbajal paced Northridge's offense, picking up seven kills. Carbajal got some help from Ella Burkholder and her ten assists. Burkholder was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Timnath can attribute much of their success to Brynleigh Firks, who had eight digs and two aces. Firks has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Timnath, they pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Northridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Mountain View on the 16th. As for Timnath, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Greeley Central on the 16th.
