Volleyball Recap: Lakeland Takes a Loss

The Lakeland Lakers didn't have quite enough to beat the Glenn Falcons on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakeland was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Glenn work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 27-25, 20-25, 25-19, 16-14.

ZOEY BOWMAN paced Lakeland's offense, picking up 17 kills. BOWMAN were helped by ABRIANA SATTERFIELD and ANNA RASLER, who contributed 19 assists each. BOWMAN was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Glenn, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Lakeland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Elkhart Christian Academy on the 23rd. As for Glenn, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against North Judson-San Pierre on the 23rd.
