Bonita Springs took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the South Fort Myers Wolfpack 53-5. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-4.
Bonita Springs found their leader in freshman Makenzie Lehigh, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 11 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyleigh Weick, who went 6-for-9 en route to 15 points and five rebounds.
Coming up, Bonita Springs will take on Gateway at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Fort Myers, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Ida Baker at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
