Westfield not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 22nd. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Auburn Maroons. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Westfield got a great performance from AJ Pritchard as he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Those nine strikeouts gave Pritchard a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Westfield let Carson Poch and Nikhil Antil run wild. Poch scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Antil scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Poch a new career-high. Logan Massimo also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Westfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Auburn only posted an OBP of .379.

Westfield's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Auburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Westfield will take on Newark at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Auburn, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Victor at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Blue Devils have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
