Basketball Recap: Southern Takes a Loss

Southern lost against Hedgesville back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The matchup between the Southern Rams and the Hedgesville Eagles didn't end well, with the Southern Rams falling 63-46. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 171st in Maryland, while the Eagles are ranked 32nd in West Virginia).

Southern has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Hedgesville, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-5.

Southern will take on Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hedgesville has already played their next contest (against Martinsburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
