Basketball Game Preview: Warren East Raiders vs. Fairdale Bulldogs

The Warren East Raiders will take on the Fairdale Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Warren East's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.

Last Tuesday, Warren East was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 72-67 to Logan County.

Meanwhile, Fairdale had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Trojans 88-58. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Trojans are ranked 171st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Warren East's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points over those games. As for Fairdale, they pushed their record up to 17-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
