Preview: Greene County Tigers vs. Georgia Military College Bulldogs
The Greene County Tigers and the Georgia Military College Bulldogs will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Saturday, Greene County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-43 to Warren County. While losing is never fun, Greene County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 389th, while Warren County is ranked 145th).
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Georgia Military College, who are still winless after their seventh match. They were beaten by Brentwood 67-12 on Saturday. Georgia Military College has struggled against Brentwood recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Greene County's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-7. As for Georgia Military College, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
Everything came up roses for Greene County against Georgia Military College in their previous meeting back in December of 2021 as the squad secured a 62-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greene County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
