Basketball Recap: Richlands Wildcats vs. East Duplin Panthers
Richlands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell to the East Duplin Panthers 58-53. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Loss or not, Richlands got some senior leadership from Jo?Nathan Kennon and Lenny Halftner-Hunter. Kennon almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds, while Halftner-Hunter dropped a double-double on 24 points and 17 boards. That's the most boards Halftner-Hunter has posted since back in January. Eric Collins was another key player, putting up five points.
Calvin Harper had a dynamite game for East Duplin, going 8 of 12 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Jenkins, who posted ten points.
Richlands' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Richlands wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-55 loss against Northside - Jacksonville on the 4th. As for East Duplin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-44 defeat against Richlands on the 10th.
