Baseball Recap: Truman Comes Up Short

Truman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 9-1 to the Rock Bridge Bruins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 12-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Truman saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nich Dawson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Truman now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Rock Bridge, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

Coincidentally, Truman and Rock Bridge will both be playing Nixa the next time they take the field. The Patriots will head out to face the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bruins will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
