Volleyball Recap: Friendswood Mustangs vs. Angleton Wildcats

Friendswood had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against the Angleton Wildcats as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Jordyn Sims paced Friendswood's offense, picking up nine kills. Sims got some help from Caroline Adams and her 19 assists. Anna Melgren controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Friendswood pushed their record up to 34-7 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Angleton, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

Friendswood will venture away from home to square off against Iowa Colony at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Angleton, they will welcome Texas City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Angleton is facing Texas City at the right time seeing as Texas City is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
