Baseball Recap: Plymouth Comes Up Short

Plymouth managed to slip by Souhegan the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bobcats came up short against the Sabers on Friday, falling 10-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bobcats have suffered since April 23rd.

Luke Diamond was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Plymouth's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Souhegan, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Plymouth is set to challenge their familiar foe Kennett at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Souhegan will take on rival Milford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
