Baseball Recap: Brewer Extends Winning Streak to Four

Brewer won against Fossil Ridge last Friday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Bears came out on top against the Saginaw Rough Riders by a score of 6-2. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 6-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Brewer got a great performance from Colton Ryals as he pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Troy Griffin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Orozco, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Brewer, bringing their record up to 14-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Saginaw, they dropped their record down to 3-17-1 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Brewer will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rough Riders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
