The North Rangers can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top against Shaker Heights by a score of 58-47. North's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
North had a senior duo take command as Cami Welty scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and Samantha Cantrell scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Welty has scored all season. Alex Hamilton was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
North's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Shaker Heights, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-13.
North will challenge Kenston at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Kenston is ranked 573rd, while North is ranked 562nd). As for Shaker Heights, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lutheran East at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
