Pine Tree came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 43-35 victory over the Carthage Bulldogs. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in January, they had to take a 59-54 loss.

Pine Tree's record is now 16-10. As for Carthage, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Tree will take on Cumberland Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Carthage, they will face off against Henderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
