Softball Recap: Maple Shade Takes a Loss

After flying high against Doane Academy on Monday, Maple Shade came back down to earth. The Wildcats took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Medford Tech Jaguars on Thursday. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Jaguars from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Maple Shade has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Medford Tech, their win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Coming up, Maple Shade's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Overbrook at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.45 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Medford Tech, they will take on Palmyra at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
