Baseball Recap: Apollo Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pinnacle, Apollo was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Shadow Ridge Stallions a 5-0 shutout.

The result came thanks to Diego Ramos's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Apollo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roberto Quinones, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Apollo's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Shadow Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11-2 record this season.

Apollo will have a chance to go back-to-back against Shadow Ridge: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
