Softball Recap: Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors vs. Roosevelt Presidents
Our Lady of Lourdes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to the Roosevelt Presidents. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Our Lady of Lourdes of the 8-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.
For Roosevelt's part, Kayla Baez and Jax Sweed made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Baez didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits over five innings pitched. Meanwhile, Sweed tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Baez has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
