Softball Recap: Potomac Senior Takes a Loss

If Potomac Senior was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Freedom on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Forest Park Bruins on Monday, falling 12-1. The Panthers have struggled against the Bruins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Potomac Senior's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Forest Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Potomac Senior will face off against rival Hylton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Forest Park is set to take on their familiar foe Charles J. Colgan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins are on a four-game streak of home wins, the Sharks a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
